The Ultra Deep Field in 3D
April 4, 2010 at 5:36 pm | Posted in Science, Space | 1 CommentIn this video, they show the 1996 Deep Field photo, taken by the Hubble Space telescope over 10 days of looking at a point in “empty” space. Then the 2004 Ultra Deep Field photo takenĀ over 11 days and 400 earth orbits. An image of the farthest we’ve ever seen.
Then using the red shift in the Ultra Deep Field image, they made a 3D model of that point of space. In the video, they move your through that space.
It’s a big space…
