Free Budgets

Budget. oooh – nasty word. Left brain stuff. But a budget can give you a handle on the income you need to live a pleasant life and can help you recognize choices you can make to prioritize your assets. Rather than stressing over this vague out of control beast, we can tame it with simple tool. Get perspective. Get conscious.
Setting up a budget spreadsheet can be a pain though. Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone do that for you? Where you just have to enter your spending categories and costs, and all the calculation is done for you?
Just ran into this free Excel application. If you don’t have Microsoft Office, it works fine with the free Open Office. (openoffice.org)
“PearBudget is a FREE budgeting program, written in Excel. It can be used by almost any spread-sheet program (Excel,  OpenOffice, etc.). Setting it up is a snap, and it takes less than half an hour a month to maintain it and see how you’re doing.”
