Here are some extra tricks you can use for more advanced searching of Google:

One I use regularly is ‘site:xxx.com’ With a search term, this allows you to use Google to search a specific site. If the site doesn’t have a search tool, or has a lousy one that gives you useless results, its very handy. The bigger the site, the better.

Find out how many of your sites pages are indexed on Google too.

Note the More link at the bottom. Google can be used as a calculator (really – paste 45% of 39 into Google and see what happens), search for movie reviews, book text, and focus your results better. Theres a lot more to the little search box than meets the eye…

  1. Davidya,

I just learned something new. I didn’t know you could use that as a search tool. I know of a few sites I’ll use it on.

    Thanks for sharing.
