Shared Writing

One of the features of WordPress is the ability to add users. In other words, the ability to have multiple people able to post articles in a blog. This blog is just me, but sometimes you see one with a few people who post to it. Shared space but not shared work.

If you’ve ever explored Wikipedia, you’ve seen another kind of shared writing. A subject based site where anyone can contribute (or fix) their 2 bits worth.

A Wiki is a “website or similar online resource which allows users to add and edit content collectively. ” per the Australian government, in a report on Democracy.

So a level higher than a shared blog would be a collaborative wiki.

I noticed CogDogRoo was hosted on one such here: http://www.wikispaces.com/

Its free if you don’t mind the musings being public with a strip of ads, like this. This site also has a participatory Open wiki section (with public editing) and a Blog link.

G’Day mate! Its Acid.
