looooooong URLs

Every had a problem sending someone a link? Perhaps you wanted to send them a map to your new place. I’ve seen massive URL’s in an email that wrapped onto 5 lines. And so often, those URLs then break, the email dropping the link part way along.

One of the free services that offer you a URL alias is the easy solution.

TinyURL.com is an example I’ve seen for a few years. It has a Firefox extension that will let you”translate” the URL right from the address bar.

Ran into SnipURL today. Much the same but with some unique features, like nicknames, reminder titles, and private keys.
