You do have your computer plugged into a surge protector, do you not? A power bar with surge protection built in?

If you don’t plug your electronics (computer, TV, stereo, etc) in with a surge protector, you’re inviting trouble. Doubly so if you live in an area that gets lightening. The $20 cost could be the difference between a-OK and fried. Doesn’t have to be the $60 model. Household electrical breakers are simply not fast enough to protect todays sensitive electronics.

Remember that electricity runs on a large grid. There can be circumstances taking place in the area that can cause sudden changes in the flow. Something hits the wires. Everyone turns on their oven at the same time. Whatever.

Do yourself that favour. Thats the wave you don’t want to catch…
