Laptop Alarm

This is something a little different – a free software tool that monitors your laptop if you are stepping away from it for a few minutes, like in a library.

If someone unplugs the AC power, the mouse, or tries to shut it down, a loud alarm will sound, irrespective of volume settings. Even movement of the mouse can trigger it – depending on the settings you choose.

You need to take the step to activate the alarm when you step away, but thats a little easier than shutting it down and carting it over to the photocopier.

Bonus – its free. The URL tells us its also Beta so worthwhile picking up while its still free. The site doesn’t mention plans.
