The Bottle to Bang

A CERN animation explaining the new Large Hadron Collider (LHC) on the Swiss-French border. 27 kms in circumference, designed to accelerate atomic particles to 99.9% of the speed of light, then crash them together.

Roll over the film strip at the top for the stages. Watch the animation for the process. (under the animation is a choice to use Flash – I found that played better)
